Google has announced long-term partnerships between Gemini, Pixel and five major football clubs - Arsenal FC, FC Barcelona, FC Bayern München, Liverpool FC and Paris Saint-Germain - aimed at giving fans closer access to match moments through AI and smartphone technology.
Supercharging match days with Gemini
Gemini will act as a personal AI assistant for supporters, surfacing in-depth match insights, statistics and instant answers during games. Fans can use it to analyze tactical changes mid-match, settle debates with historical head-to-head data, and get proactive assistance that brings context and relevant information to the moment.
Bringing a new angle on the game with Pixel
As the Official Smartphone Partner, Google Pixel will collaborate with club media teams to capture candid, behind-the-scenes content from both men’s and women’s teams. Club social channels will feature a "Shot on Pixel" series using Pixel cameras combined with Google's AI tools to deliver authentic perspectives. Supporters can also personalize Pixel 11 devices with official club wallpapers available now.
Raising the visibility of women's football
A core aim of these partnerships is to help close the visibility gap in women’s football. Despite record-breaking crowds, the women’s game still receives less media coverage. By partnering equally across men’s and women’s teams, Google and the clubs will produce and promote pitch-side action and memorable content to expand reach and inspire the next generation of players and fans.
