Anthropic has announced a partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the world's largest technology services companies. Under the agreement, TCS will deploy Claude to 50,000 of its own employees across 56 countries, develop Claude-powered products for clients in financial services, healthcare, the public sector, and other regulated industries, and join the Claude Partner Network-Anthropic's network of consulting and services firms that help bring Claude to enterprise clients.
Regulated industries require work to be highly accurate and auditable, and enterprises in these fields already use Claude for that reason. TCS brings decades of experience delivering technology that meets companies' regulatory requirements, along with the reach to bring Claude to thousands of enterprises worldwide.
How TCS Plans to Use Claude
As "customer zero," TCS will integrate Claude across its own engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales teams, using the insights gained to inform how it delivers Claude to clients. TCS is also building a dedicated practice for the partnership, assembling consultants, engineers, and industry specialists to design and operate Claude-based systems for clients. TCS will package Claude into industry-specific offerings-such as claims processing for insurers and lending advisory for banks-and its teams will implement and manage them for clients in financial services, public services, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, telecom, and medical technology.
This work is already underway. For example:
- Diligenta, TCS's UK life and pensions business, will use Claude to enhance the customer experience for the more than 22 million policyholders it serves.
- TCS's banking and financial services product teams will leverage Claude Code to boost productivity in software engineering and IT operations.
- TCS's engineering teams will contribute reusable skills and plugins to the Claude Code ecosystem, beginning with capabilities focused on claims adjudication and lending advisory.
- TCS iON, which administers more than 75 million assessments each year across 1,500 cities in India, will offer Claude training and certification programs.
K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, stated that enterprise AI value comes from understanding business context, orchestrating complex systems, and applying deep AI engineering talent. He explained that by combining Claude with TCS's industry expertise, engineering rigor, and large-scale transformation capabilities, the company will help customers accelerate their path to production-especially in industries where trust, resilience, and regulatory discipline are critical. He noted the partnership reflects TCS's broader strategy to help clients become perpetually adaptive enterprises by turning frontier AI into transformation at enterprise scale.
Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, said that Claude was built to be safe, trusted, and helpful, particularly in contexts where accuracy matters most. He added that the partnership deepens Anthropic's commitment to India, Anthropic's second-largest market, with TCS bringing Claude to enterprises and professionals across the region and globally.
